Class 1 Driver (Nights)

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Night Driver to join our clients team in Colchester. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to safety and professionalism, and will play a crucial role in our trunking operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicles on night shifts, ensuring compliance with all road traffic laws and company policies.
• Perform trunking work, transporting goods between various locations in a timely and efficient manner.
• Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure operational safety.
• Maintain accurate delivery and log records as required.
• Communicate effectively with the logistics team and other drivers to coordinate schedules and address any issues that arise.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the handling of goods and cargo.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) driving license.
• A minimum of 2 years of driving experience in a similar role.
• A valid CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification.
• A clean driving record with no serious violations.
• Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a flexible schedule.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
